How To Maintain Your Beard
Not sure what to buy?....
Bought a pot of something but unsure how to use it?....
Then you're in the right place!
The Beard and The Wonderful, Portland's Finest Beard Oil
What is it?
Beard Oil should be your first port of call in beard and moustache maintenance. Facial hair is generally thicker and slower growing than 'head hair'. The purpose of this product is to soften the beard, reducing irritation and keeping both the hair and skin healthy.
How to apply
It is best applied in the mornings, when you're getting ready to go out, or after you wash your face. Pour a small amount in the palm of your hand (start with a 1cm diameter pool.)
Rub you hands together so it thinly covers you palms and fingers, then run your hands through your beard in the direction it grows. Repeat to apply more as required.
When you've applied enough, the beard should be fully coated and feel softer immediately. Don't worry about it being a little greasy when its applied because the oil is specially formulated to quickly absorb into the beard. Give the beard 5-10 minutes to absorb the oil before adding any further products.

The Beard and The Wonderful, Portland's Finest Beard Balm
What is it?
Beard Balm is designed to condition and add weight to the beard, this product is a must for those with unruly or scruffy beards. The benefit of adding weight to the beard is that helps keep it tidy by bringing those 'wild' hairs that keep sticking out, back into line! It also allows gentle shaping of the beard.
How to apply
Scrape a small amount out with your finger and rub it into the palm of your other hand, rubbing until it melts completely. Rub your hands together to spread the balm, then over the beard in the direction that it grows. Repeat with more product if necessary. Finally comb through the beard and move/smooth it into the desired shape.

The Beard and The Wonderful, Portland's Finest Mustache Wax
What is it?
Moustache and Beard waxes are for heavy sculpting of your facial hair. If you're looking for twists, curls or points - then mustache wax is the product you need.
How to apply
Moustache waxes do take some getting used to. They are firm and water resistant (due to the high likelihood of moustaches coming into contact with liquids).
You'll need to scrape the wax out with your finger nail (you can also use an ice- lolly stick or similar). Rub between your thumb and forefinger until the wax becomes a soft paste. Using the wax coated thumb and forefinger, slide your fingers along the hairs as you create the desired shape; most people twist the hairs as they do this, in order to bring the hairs together. Repeat with more wax if required.
