A question we are regularly asked by our bearded brethren is about the ivory gold colored ingredient, shea butter. And they ask:- "Is Shea Butter good for beards?" Well when it comes to the top quality beard balms, none are so good as the ones that contain this magical substance.
It is an light ivory colored fat/oil which is derived from the shea tree (Vitellaria paradoxa) which is indigenous to certain areas of Africa.. This product is used in cosmetic production as a moisturizer, and it is also edible and used in some food preparation as well as a cocoa butter substitute in chocolate!

I Really Love this article but how does this shea butter really function in the skin to cause beard grow faster and also is butter applied on the skin or eaten before it can influence beard growth?
